01 / Overview

What is Google AppSheet?

Google AppSheet is a no-code application platform for data-driven apps and automation. Free prototyping, qualifying personal use and licensed business deployment have different user and feature conditions.

Who is Google AppSheet for?

Teams modelling a specific data-entry or operational application with clear data ownership, user access and production licensing.

Model the data and the people using it

Specify the record, form, view and update the application needs. AppSheet’s pricing comparison separates data connections, automation and governance across plans.

Compare Microsoft Power Apps around the same application brief. Review Google Workspace access separately rather than assuming any Google account includes a business deployment licence.

Free access & evaluation

AppSheet offers free prototype testing with up to ten users including the creator, and separate qualifying personal use for up to three users. Business deployment and premium features need appropriate rights.

04 / Buying checklist

Before you choose Google AppSheet

  • Free prototype testing is limited to ten users including the creator.

  • The separate personal-use arrangement has a three-user maximum.

  • Some automation, including email or scheduled bots, is not fully supported on free accounts.

Test the record and its access boundary

Use a fictional table with two user roles and one proposed update. Check what each person should view and change, and name the data owner before connecting a real source.

Free-use guidance distinguishes prototype and personal arrangements. A feature visible in the editor may still have execution or deployment restrictions on the retained account.
