Read the billing footnote with the plan card

The rendered Volusion pricing page checked on 20 October 2026 lists Personal at US$35/month, Professional at US$79/month and Business at US$299/month with annual payment, otherwise US$399 monthly. Prime requires a GMV-based quote.

Keep the Business footnote in the comparison. US$299 as an annual monthly equivalent and US$399 as a monthly rate are different purchase arrangements, not interchangeable prices for the same payment schedule.

A fictional store with 250 products does not fit the listed Personal catalogue cap merely because its sales are below US$50,000. Likewise, a small catalogue can still need more staff access. Confirm the actual account and growth requirements.

Separate gateway conditions from processor charges

The checked transaction-fee FAQ says the Volusion Payments powered by Stripe route avoids Volusion’s transaction fee; alternative supported gateways incur Gateway Maintenance Fees of 2% on Personal, 1.25% on Professional and 0.8% on Business, with custom Prime rates.

That does not establish free payment processing. Obtain the processor’s separate terms and confirm the applicable gateway classification. Record the selected route with the quote rather than applying one assumed percentage to every payment method.

Use a transparent payment example

For an illustrative US$5,000 of transactions subject to the stated Professional gateway maintenance rate, 1.25% is US$62.50. Adding the US$79 subscription gives US$141.50 before processor charges, taxes and any other required services. This is arithmetic under stated assumptions, not a merchant invoice.

Use the actual fee basis and gateway terms when modelling a live store. Check a refund and a failed payment in an authorised sandbox; do not infer every fee adjustment from a successful checkout.

Include integration requirements before selecting a plan

List the catalogue, staff, GMV, gateway and back-office requirements together. A receiving ERP or product-information system may change implementation and plan needs. Use the Volusion integration-cost guide for that separate scope.

Continue with the Volusion profile and ecommerce category. Keep the regular rate, annual commitment, extras and renewal responsibilities in the final decision brief.
