What is Cloudflare Workers?
Cloudflare Workers runs application code on Cloudflare’s developer platform, including request-handling and event-driven workloads. Its Free and Paid plans have specific request, CPU and service limits, separate from a website’s Cloudflare plan.
Who is Cloudflare Workers for?
Developers defining an application or API workflow that fits the Workers runtime and its resource model.
Choose the runtime around the application’s work
Cloudflare Workers provides a runtime for application code, with platform bindings for related services. A useful shortlist starts with what happens on one request or event, not simply where a website’s DNS is hosted.
For example, define a proposed API request, the data it reads and the response it returns. Identify which work executes in the runtime and which work belongs to a database, object store or another service. Compare AWS Lambda, Azure Functions and Cloud Run against that same workload and its operating requirements.

Cloudflare Workers pricing
Free Workers plan with daily limits
Compare request volume, CPU use and each connected service against the retained developer-platform plan. Workers Paid is separate from Cloudflare website plans; do not infer an entitlement from a site’s Pro or Business subscription.

Workers Free includes 100,000 requests per day with a 10 ms CPU allowance per HTTP request under the reviewed documentation. Other runtime and service limits still apply.
Before you choose Cloudflare Workers
The Free request allowance is account-wide and resets daily rather than monthly.
CPU time and elapsed wall time are different measures.
Data, storage and other connected services retain their own limits and billing scope.
Request limits and CPU limits describe different things
The runtime limits distinguish active CPU work from elapsed time. Waiting for a network request does not consume CPU time in the same way as executing code. The Free allowance is shared by the account; adding another Worker does not create a separate daily request grant.
Before estimating a cost, record request volume, processing work and every connected platform component. The Workers pricing guidance also makes the developer-platform Paid plan separate from Cloudflare website plans. Keep the actual application’s allowance and dependencies in the budget rather than treating a website subscription as a complete application-hosting package.

Cloudflare Workers FAQs
How many requests does Cloudflare Workers Free include?
The reviewed Free plan allows 100,000 requests per day across the account. This is not a separate allowance for every Worker.
When does the Cloudflare Workers Free daily request limit reset?
The request allowance resets at midnight UTC. It is a daily allowance rather than a monthly pool.
Is Workers CPU time the same as total elapsed request time?
No. CPU time measures active code execution. Waiting for network operations does not count towards CPU time; wall time includes elapsed waiting.
What does Cloudflare Workers Error 1027 mean?
Cloudflare’s limits guidance associates Error 1027 with exceeding the Free account’s daily request limit. A CPU-resource error is a different limit.
Does a Cloudflare Pro website plan include Workers Paid?
No. Workers Paid is separate from Cloudflare website plans such as Free, Professional and Business. Check the developer-platform plan independently.
