SOFTWARERADAR — SLACK HISTORY EXAMPLES The five message cases are fictional. Ages are elapsed whole UTC days at 16 October 2026, 12:00 UTC. They are not Slack account logs, a deletion schedule or a recovery test. The ordinary-channel cases assume no Enterprise-sponsored Slack Connect exception. They distinguish the Free 90-day viewing window from one-year retention or 90-day deletion. The private-channel case demonstrates a separate access question. An age alone cannot prove that a real message survives. The history worksheet leaves actual observations, evidence, owners and next actions blank. Inspect the effective policy with the responsible owner. Do not change retention to experiment: permanently deleted content cannot be restored by upgrading. No file connects to Slack or changes membership, billing, retention or conversation data. https://softwareradar.co.uk/guides/slack-older-messages-missing/
